Perspektif Konseling Pastoral terhadap Humanisme Abraham Maslow dan Implikasinya dalam Menghadapi Kesepian pada Generasi Stroberi

Generation Z, born in 1997-2013, is considered incapable of being an agent of change and a moral booster, as well as a social controller because of their indifferent attitude and are easily entangled in various new problems that affect their potential, so that the current young generation finds it difficult to be resilient. These conditions and situations have given rise to a new terminology called the strawberry generation, which is a term for a generation that looks strong, but has a fragile heart and quickly gives up hope. Loneliness is one of the impacts that is present in the strawberry generation. This research aims to determine the relationship between Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and loneliness in the strawberry generation, its implementation in pastoral counseling. This research uses qualitative methods through a library research approach. The results of this research show that based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, loneliness occurs when an individual's sense of security cannot be fulfilled properly and there are several stages that Christian counselors can take to deal with this, namely (1) identifying and making plans regarding the client's physical condition, (2) having empathy and maintaining trust, (3) developing social relationships, such as within family, friends and church, (4) giving positive affirmations and recognizing the counselee's achievements, (5) helping the counselee to explore potential and fulfill God's calling in his life.
