Desiderium naturale videndi deum adalah sebuah konsep yang muncul dari hasil pemaknaan Aquinas tentang kebahagiaan. Aquinas ingin berbicara mengenai keinginan alamiah manusia akan Tuhan. Di era digital ini segala aspek yang bersentuhan dengan manusia dan kebutuhannya berusaha diintegrasikan dengan teknologi termasuk aspek spiritualitas manusia. Salah satu teknologi yang cukup populer dimasa ini adalah AI. Bagi sekolah teologi, penggunaan AI menjadi sangat penting untuk dibahas dengan melihatnya dari sudut pandang teologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penggunaan AI berperan dalam membentuk cara mahasiswa melihat Tuhan berdasarkan perspektif desiderium naturale videndi deum dengan fokus pada era digital. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang berfokus pada informasi berdasarkan pengalaman individu. Dari hasil wawancara kepada mahasiswa disekolah teologi dan analisis data maka ditemukan bahwa AI berperan secara implisit dan gradual dalam membentuk cara mahasiswa melihat Tuhan. Dampak AI yang terdiri dari kemalasan, rendahnya kesadaran dalam mengambil keputusan, dan ketidakmampuan berpikir kritis terbukti menjadi representasi dari kondisi spiritual seseorang. Hakikat untuk melihat Tuhan sebagai realitas dalam memenuhi hasrat natural diri kepada kebaikan tertinggi yang ilahi sebagai sumber kebahagiaan, kreativitas dan inspirasi pada mahasiswa mulai tersurut. Yang kemudian digantikan oleh sesuatu yang fisik, bisa dirasa oleh pancaindra, yang dapat memberikan jawaban dari kebutuhan, dan memberikan kemudahan tanpa mengeluarkan usaha yang sepadan.
