Lima Gadis Bodoh sebagai Pihak yang Tertindas dalam Matius 25:1-13

Penafsiran terhadap Matius 25:1-13 selama ini cenderung bersifat negatif terhadap karakter kelima gadis yang bodoh. Hal ini mungkin merupakan dampak dari pendekatan alegoris yang dominan, yang sering menempatkan kelima gadis tersebut sebagai pihak yang tidak siap sedia dalam menyambut. Namun, dalam studi ini, penulis menawarkan pembacaan ulang dengan menggunakan metode historis-kritis untuk mengungkap situasi yang sebaliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menunjukkan bahwa kelima gadis yang bodoh sebenarnya adalah korban dari perlakuan kelima gadis yang disebut "bijaksana," yang pada hakikatnya tidak menunjukkan kebijaksanaan. Melalui analisis konteks historis dan sosio-budaya yang melatarbelakangi teks, studi ini berupaya menantang penafsiran tradisional yang telah mapan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dinamika kekuasaan dan ketidakadilan sosial turut membentuk narasi ini, sehingga kelima gadis yang bodoh lebih tepat dipahami sebagai pihak yang tertindas. Penelitian ini tidak hanya memberikan perspektif baru tetapi juga mengajak pembaca untuk mempertimbangkan kembali makna teks secara lebih holistik.
