Non-Resepsi atas Doktrin Kristologi dalam Mormonisme, Gereja Kristus Ilmuwan, dan Saksi Yehuwa

Penelitian teologi dengan metode studi pustaka sistematis-historis ini membahas non-resepsi atas Kristologi Konsilier dalam tiga aliran keagamaan modern yang mengklaim berakar pada Kekristenan: Mormonisme, Gereja Kristus Ilmuwan (Church of Christ, Scientist), dan Saksi-Saksi Yehuwa. Ketiganya menolak pengakuan iman kristiani tradisional tentang Yesus Kristus yang sungguh Allah dan sungguh manusia. Mormonisme memandang Yesus sebagai anak jasmani dari Allah Bapa yang memiliki tubuh dan berkembang menjadi ilahi. Saksi-Saksi Yehuwa menyangkal keilahian Kristus, menyamakan-Nya dengan malaikat Mikael, dan menolak doktrin Tritunggal. Sementara itu, Gereja Kristus Ilmuwan mengajarkan bahwa Yesus hanyalah manusia yang menunjukkan prinsip “Kristus”, dan menolak kenyataan penderitaan, dosa, serta kebangkitan tubuh. Non-resepsi itu berakar dari konteks hidup para pendiri ketiga aliran tersebut. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teori illative sense dan grammar of assent dari John Henry Newman. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kerangka Newman menawarkan sebuah jalur hermeneutis yang produktif untuk memahami akar epistemik dari perpecahan doktrinal, sekaligus menawarkan sebuah model untuk re-edukasi iman yang berpusat pada geliat komunitas dan tradisi, sehingga berkontribusi pada wacana kontemporer tentang perkembangan doktrin dan dialog ekumenis.
